Master's graduate Clemens Oswald receives recognition at the sponsorship award of the Foundation of German Architects (SDA) | Chair of Prof. Annette Hillebrandt Building Construction, Design, Materials Science
We would like to congratulate our Master's graduate Clemens Oswald on being recognized with the sponsorship award of the Stiftung Deutscher Architekten (SDA)!
In the festive setting of the award ceremony on April 10 at the Baukunstarchiv NRW in Dortmund, outstanding theses from NRW were honored - including Clemens Oswald's design “Agora Téchne - Campus for Global Craft Technology”, supervised by Professor Annette Hillebrandt.
His project impressed the jury:
“The design's goal of transforming a large-scale industrial wasteland with historically diverse buildings into a lively place characterized by craftsmanship was convincingly implemented with remarkable conceptual depth as well as a consistently sustainable and resource-conserving approach. ... The jury recognizes the work for its innovative and responsible approach to the existing building as well as for its design and conceptual quality and awards the entry with a commendation.”
With the award, the SDA honors special talents in architecture who are facing the social, ecological and urban planning challenges of our time with innovative ideas. A total of 44 final theses with recommendations from 10 NRW degree courses in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and urban planning were submitted for the award. Three main prizes and four commendations were awarded - and we are delighted that Clemens Oswald is one of them!
