Very good ratings in the CHE Ranking 2025/26 for our Architecture and Civil Engineering degree programs
In Germany's largest university ranking - with 120,000 participating students and 3,000 professors - our Architecture and Civil Engineering degree programs achieved very good results. They belong to the top group of universities in German-speaking countries - with at least four out of five stars in the students' assessment.
Civil Engineering achieved a top position among the universities in North Rhine-Westphalia. In the overall assessment by students, the subject scored best in NRW and was particularly convincing in the following categories:
- Support from teaching staff
- Organization of studies
- Range of courses
- Support during studies
Our range of practical laboratories, library and excursions were also rated particularly highly by students.
The Architecture degree program once again scored very well. Our students praised the particularly good organization of the course and the top library facilities:
- Support at the start of studies
- Support from teaching staff
- Course offerings
- Practical orientation in teaching
The CHE University Ranking is considered the most comprehensive and renowned ranking in the German-speaking world. It not only evaluates facts about studies, teaching and research, but also takes students' assessments into account - an important indicator of the actual quality of study conditions. Each subject is re-evaluated every three years.
